TIFF LZW, ZIP और JPEG सहित कई कम्प्रेशन विधियों की अनुमति देने वाली टैग-आधारित संरचना का उपयोग करता है। यह ICC प्रोफ़ाइल, CMYK रंग, 16/32-बिट फ़्लोटिंग पॉइंट और मल्टी-पेज दस्तावेज़ों का समर्थन करता है।
इतिहास
TIFF को 1986 में Aldus Corporation द्वारा डेस्कटॉप पब्लिशिंग स्कैनर के लिए बनाया गया था। Adobe Systems ने 1994 में विनिर्देश प्राप्त किया और इसे TIFF 6.0 के रूप में बनाए रखता है।
